Am I required to see a physician prior to coming to Focus PT?
No. Your insurance company may required a MD referral (Medicare and Medicaid do), so you should check with them. Most companies allow you to come to therapy without first seeing your doctor.

Do you bill my insurance for me?
Yes, we bill most insurance companies for you (see our insurance company list). One exception is secondary insurance companies (we will provide you the information you need to do this).

How long do treatment sessions last?
Your initial evaluation and treatment session will take an hour, but you should try to arrive about 10 minutes early, if possible. Follow-up sessions are scheduled for 30 mins.

What if my insurance company doesn't pay promptly?
If your insurance company does not pay within 60 days of our first billing them you will be responsible for the balance of your account.

What does a session cost?
Typically, an initial eval and treatment session is $151.00 and lasts 1 hour. Follow-up sessions are $55.00 and will last 30 mins. Any equipment such as Theraband or foam rolls are a separate charge.

Will I see the same therapist every session?
Yes. While many clinics schedule patients with the next available therapist, at Focus Physical Therapy we feel your partnership with your therapist is an integral part of your care. This is why you will not only see the same therapist each session, but all of your treatment is one-on-one with a licensed PT; you will never receive treatment from an assistant or aide.

Do you offer "manual therapy"?
Yes, it is ALL that we offer. Unlike many facilities we don't own a gym full of equipment where we charge to supervise you while you workout. All of your care is hands-on, one-on-one manual therapy performed with the goal of restoring function and reducing pain.

Will I be given exercises I can do at home?
Yes. We demand a lot from ourselves, but we also expect you to take a pro-active role in your recovery. You will be given exercises from the first session and will be expected to perform them as instructed. If you don't understand an exercise please let us know as soon as possible, because we don't want to lose any valuable healing time.
